You can plan a cheap honeymoon if you estalish what you are willing to spend. Than price flights and hotels. Here are some cheap, but romantic, honeymoon tips:

Cruises can be cost effiicient,  especially if you leave from your home port rather than having to take a flight.

You can also rent a campsite or cabin and spend much less than  for a hotel.

If your
wedding ceremony is between November and March, you can get off-season prices.

How about swap houses with  someone in another state or country. Make sure to
register with a reputable home exchange network that clients screens clients carefully.

Another option is to plan a honeymoon at an  all-inclusive resort so you just pay one fee for everything from plane fare to meals.

Getting married in Las Vegas can be really inexpensive (if you don't gamble too much!)
Many of the wedding chapels in Las Vegas offer packages, ranging from simple to grand. The bride and groom can even ride in a gondala. They include flowers, rings, and witnesses. You are also at your honeymoon destination already! There are so many fun things to do in Las Vegas that are not expensive. For one thing, the hotels are amazing with convicing replicas of cities in their basements. You can go down to the bottom of the hotel and be in New York or Venice. Shop, sit at a sidewalk cafe and never realize that you are actually inside. Most hotels on the strip have free half hour shows -- from opera in the Bellagio to a Carnival in the Rio hotel. And the hotel buffets! They're unbeleivable, especially for the price. Remember, the casinos want to give you deals on loging and food so you'll come and gable. Of course, there always great shows worth spending some money on.
To get away from the strip, you can visit Red Rock Canyon, Lake Mead or the Valley of Fire .

One of the main keys to getting an inexpensive honeymoon cruise is to move quickly on  cruise deals that. There are plenty of lower price cruise packages if you move and fast.

The web is a perfect way to compare cruise line prices. If you are looking for an inexpensive cruise in a very low price range you'll probably end up in a shorter cruise (maybe 2 - 3 days) or cruising in the off season.

Smaller ships and smaller cabinsmay work for a shorter cruise. You may find a 5-day cruise for less than $600 per person with entertainment, food, and relaxation.

Carnival Cruise lines are one of the more popular inexpensive options. They have great rates for very good quality service, and entertainment.

What Couples Say About Their Honeymoon Exoperience
HoneymoonersReviewGuide.com reports that the median honeymoon cost in 2006-07, for transportation and lodging only, was about $3,500 USD, with 62% spending under $4,000. At the other end, 21% spent over $5,000 for that special time together. Couples stayed an average 8 days. 75% of couples select their hotel from either a travel agent or travel website.
The  greatest number chose the USA for their honeymoon destination, with the Hawaiian Islands by far the most popular destination, and the next largest country being Mexico. The most popular region was the Caribbean.

Off to Europe or the Mediterranean went some 7%, the largest portion going to Italy. Trendy places for those who like to travel to more exotic destinations and have the money to do it, were the French Polynesian Islands of Moorea, Bora Bora, and Ta'haa; the Fiji Islands, including Tokoriki and Bequa; and Thailand.

One-third of honeymoon couples had complaints about their resorts or cruise ships with the top three complaints related to facility maintenance, check-in, and restaurants.

More than 30% of all complaints were never resolved. In the end however, two-thirds felt that they could definitely recommend their hotel or cruise to family and friends.
Although 85% said their honeymoon was romantic to some degree with 25% considering their stay "passionately romantic", the remainder did not consider their time particularly romantic and 5% stated that their hotel, resort or cruise ship was "unromantic".
The annual survey is not possible without the many honeymooners who rate their resorts and cruises and share their experiences. To encourage couples to share, 2nd honeymoons at top resorts are given away by drawings to reviewers.

To share honeymoon experiences, couples can go to http://www.keysurvey.com/survey/75547/7c8c/ to complete the short survey.
The above statistics are taken from the continuous surveying of honeymoon couples performed by Honeymooner's Review Guide.

The great majority of respondents were from the USA and others from Canada, the UK, Australia, India, Ireland, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, and the United Arab Emirates. I
